I am Antoine Valot, a User Experience engineer in Denver, Colorado. Welcome to the new version of valot.com!

Using the blog model makes sense for a personal website. It can hold both personal and professional content. It simplifies updates, since software handles the pesky navigation issues. And it allows for comments, helping me connect with my peers.

To display my portfolio, I’ll simply post back-dated entries for each item, and I’ll have the flexibility to add interesting back-stories. Same method for my bio, my photos, etc. I’m planning to post at least one item a week.

Oh, and I apologize if my writing style is not very bloggy: I don’t always eschew obfuscation. Sorry.

Thanks. I love your theme, obviously. I love that you demo’ed good ideas for content. The del.icio.us “interests” is awesome, for instance, and I probably wouldn’t have found it on my own.

I wish more theme designers gave attention to that. I think the most important part of any template is its potential to teach good user experience design, by example. That’s an area where, for instance, Apple gets it right, and Microsoft doesn’t.

Well, you get it right! Thanks for an awesome theme. I hope the thumbnails are an okay way to give you credit!
