Notable Accomplishments:

• Redesigned an ASP.NET web-based application to enable higher-education institutions to perform statistical analysis of retention risk factors, drilling down to direct intervention at the individual student level. The application also included custom-built Flash charts.
• Delivered a SharePoint-based system for video-on-demand asset tracking and management for a large cable provider. Sidestepped project politics, interviewed users, designed a judicious solution leveraging out-of-the-box tools, deployed it, and trained end-users, all in five days.
• Designed and prototyped user-centric, goal focused architectures of MS SharePoint Portals for multiple clients.
• Designed and developed a Flash-based application for collecting audience feedback and generating leads after seminars and presentations.
• Designed and developed sales prototypes for upcoming Microsoft solution accelerators, using an interactive presentation system based on Macromedia Flash to simulate the operation of multiple software applications. The system was delivered on multiple media channels, including web and CDROM.
• Designed a Flash-based, 3D presentation to illustrate the integration of a complex service offering, for a large technology consultancy.
• Gathered and refined user and stakeholder requirements for a tabletPC-based field reporting tool for City Wastewater Inspectors, allowing streamlined data entry and processing to replace a slow, paper-based system.
• Designed a matrix-based interface in ASP.NET for the management of royalty payments, including integration of CRM, workflow and other third-party applications, for a License Aggregator company. The new system enabled accelerated growth in service without increasing headcount.
• Coordinated and conducted a field study, involving four technology consultants riding along on milk delivery trucks, for the design of a PocketPC-based field automation tool to streamline data entry and capture during milk deliveries. The deep understanding of the user’s goals and needs that resulted from the study allowed developers to avoid many usability pitfalls, and deliver a tool that increased client ROI and user satisfaction (and the experience was unforgettable.)
• Designed call flow and usability for one of the first VoiceXML-based Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems, for a large Regional Transportation District, enabling callers to easily obtain real-time information on the exact arrival time of buses at any stop across the metropolitan area.
  Trained audiences ranging from one to over thirty, on topics ranging from basic HTML to advanced usability, content management, and information architecture strategy, in the US and Europe.
• Designed and developed an innovative set of interactive driving directions and hospital maps, as well as an online virtual tour of the birthing clinic, for a large Healthcare Institution.
• Designed, developed and deployed multiple websites with custom-built content management systems, including database-driven flash movies, event registration systems including e-commerce, and event calendars.

Designed and developed these two companies’ corporate websites, integrating backend-generated Flash multimedia with traditional HTML design.
Built various internal web-based applications, using Flash front-ends, ASP and ColdFusion back-ends. The applications won high praise from their users for their effectiveness, ease of use, and sense of humor.

Architected, designed, and built over 40 websites of tremendous variety. Pioneered the use of web-based radio and video for networkMCI’s internal communications, and successfully transitioned their newsletter to the web. Administered various internet servers, on Silicon Graphics, NeXT, and Windows platforms. Trained over 20 users on basic web development.

Co-founded these two graphic design companies in Paris, France and Denver, Colorado. Designed corporate identities. Pioneered the use of internet email (NeXTMail) for collaboration across geographically disparate team members.
